ATASCADERO UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT
District Goals for 2011 – 2013
1. The District will provide an environment for all students and employees that values respect, diversity, integrity, openness, communication and accountability.
2. All students will gain the knowledge and skills to be college and career ready in an information-based, global economy of the 21st century using standards-based curricula and assessments with regular feedback and opportunities for interventions and enrichment.
3. All schools will implement a Response to Intervention model that includes a school-wide approach to tiered intervention that meets the needs of students utilizing the classroom, Learning Centers, and all available resources.
4. Every year, each school will decrease the number of students performing below proficiency by 10% for all student groups on the STAR tests in English/Language Arts and Mathematics.
5. Programs and procedures that support improved attendance within the District will be sustained.
