Welcome to the 2023-2024 School Year

It’s going to be another amazing year in Atascadero Unified School District. I’d like to welcome everyone to the 2023-2024 school year, and I sincerely hope that all of you have enjoyed a positive and relaxing summer with family and friends. 
 
High expectations and consistency are two of the hallmark qualities of high performing organizations.  Recently, the Board of Trustees reapproved our Atascadero Unified School District Mission, Vision, Graduate Profile, and Core Values.  This will be the start of our third year working towards the lofty goal of Producing the Top Students in the Nation.  In addition, the Board of Trustees has maintained strong consistency with their commitment to our District Goals of:  Student Success, Staff Collaboration, and Community Partnership. 
 
We have an amazing community and the positivity among our students, staff, and parents is contagious.  Let’s use the positive energy to maximize our partnerships.  The staff of AUSD values our parents and recognizes the tremendous role you play in supporting the development of our students.  I encourage our parents and staff to communicate early and often to build authentic relationships that benefit our students.
 
Thanks to our entire Atascadero Unified School District staff for their purposeful contribution to student achievement and to all of our parents for their support and commitment to education.  When we work together I am certain we will accomplish amazing things; ultimately preparing our students to be college, career and citizenship ready.
