Implemented at all district elementary schools and the Fine Arts Academy.
BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) supplemented by district equipment with a goal of 1:1 at grades 6-12
The Atascadero Fine Arts Academy is the pilot school for BYOD.

- Develop superior writing skills.
- Frequent formative assessment and feedback to foster self-directed, reflective learning and inform instruction.

Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)
BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) means that students can bring personal electronic devices, such as laptops, Chromebooks, and tablets to school and use them as learning tools in the classroom.BYOD is a win-win for students and learning in AUSD. Students get to use a personal device for learning that goes home with them every night. The district is able to provide greater access to 21st century learning that takes advantage of technology by combining the use of district-owned devices and those brought by students.
