The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. This gives them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

Special Olympics will be held at the San Luis Obispo Cuesta College campus.
Atascadero Unified School District will be participating in basketball and track events.
Hope to see you there!
AUSD members of the Special Olympics team and staff will be selling t-shirts and sweatshirts to support the participation of Special Olympics events and related clubs within our district. Cheer on our athletes by wearing orange and grey gear on Friday and leading up to our big event!
If you would like to purchase Special Olympic gear, you can purchase it in person at S.T.E.P.S (across the street from Atascadero Junior High) every Wednesday, 8:30 am - 9:30 am, or you can purchase it through the Website survey.

T-Shirts are $15.00 and Sweatshirts are $30.00
